Flying in Ireland forum, fly-in & get together in Abbeyshrule airfield. The Amphib Flying Club are organising a fly-in to the Share Centre, Lisnaskea, Co.Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. Float-planes and water based aviation activities over the entire weekend. Detailed website HERE.

Letterkenny Flying Club Annual Fly-in/BBQ/Hooley in the Hanger Pilgrimage, Co.Donegal, back for the 4^th year. See VFR Flight guide Ireland page 109. A/G Radio operational on 129.55 all day Saturday. On July 25th 1909 Loius Bleriot became the first person to fly across the English Channel. He claimed the prize of £1,000 offered by the Daily Mail. The flight took 37 minutes. Bleriot took off from Les Barraques France. On Saturday July 25th 2009 the plan is for a mass Microlight crossing over the Channel from England to France to mark Louis Bleriot 100th Anniversary. Blois, in central France. Massive microlight gathering and show. All major manufacturers will be displaying their wares, from microlights to paramotors, gyroplanes and heavy metal.
