"Flight of the Earls" NMAI pilgrimage to the Popham Microlight fly-in. This is the biggest Microlight trade show in the UK and we plan to have a group to fly over, we depart on the Friday as a group from Newtownards, cross to Carlisle and overnight somewhere in Northern England, arriving in Popham sometime on Saturday morning among all the other arrivals. | 27th | Ardfert Fly-in/BBQ/Party, Tralee Co.Kerry. If you intend to fly in please contact Brendan on 087 2214648 or 087 1234546. The airfield is north of Tralee town, 425m Grass Strip 33/15. Runway 15 is slightly uphill, the co-ordinates are 52.20.75N - 009.45.70W. A few of the pilots taking part in the Bray air display earlier in the afternoon have agreed, weather permitting to fly to Ardfert directly afterwards and give a display in Ardfert at approx 6pm. All welcome, this year we are having a memorial mass on the field for Mick Devane, he was the life and soul of our fly-in last year and it would be nice for him to be remembered. We are hoping to have the mass around 2.30 in the field to allow aircraft to arrive. Music, craic and food later on in the day. Campers welcome and we can organize B+B for those who need it. |
